The Tactical Defense Academy is a 10,000 square foot, advanced training facility located at 210 E. 1st street in El Campo, Tx. TDA is the official training center for Executive Progressive Fighting Systems (PFS) in El Campo. We have multiple indoor and outdoor training locations in and around the gym. Our main training room has 1200 square feet of 2” thick mat space and we have an equipment room stocked with all types of training items for any type of training we provide. We also have a well stocked pro shop if you prefer to purchase your own equipment. In addition to training, our facilitys have top of the line high powered tanning beds equipped with A/C and CD players built into the beds. We are a growing facility and plan to offer a full fitness center in the near future. If you are in the area feel free to stop in and ask one of our friendly staff members for a free tour of the facility. Progressive Fighting Systems was founded over 20 years ago by Paul Vunak. It is a international organization devoted to the teaching of realistic self defense and promoting the expansion of Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts. PFS in its early days was primarily taught to military and law enforcement. PFS is made up of streamlined systems teaching you only the most important concepts to enable you to survive a violent attack. It's not about tradition, styles, tournaments, and most certainly not about rules. It's about reality, violence, and survival. It's those reasons that PFS has been hand selected and used by all types of Law Enforcement including, the FBI, DEA, DOD, CIA, as well as much of the military special forces including the well known Navy SEALS.

Executive PFS was the PFS organizations answer to helping the civilian world. After spending years testing its material with the military, PFS realized that since they were getting extreme results in very short amounts of time, they could evolve their programs to suit the need of regular citizens. With so many good, law abiding citizens in the world becoming the victims of violent crime, PFS stepped up to help. Executive PFS is the same technology based on years of military testing presented for civilian application. Anyone can end up in the wrong place at the wrong time and most people simply don’t have the time to devote to long term training programs. Executive PFS can tech you the skills needed to survive a violent attack in a shorter amount of time than you ever thought possible.
. | | | | | Who is Paul Vunak?
Paul Vunak is the founder of PFS and Executive PFS. Paul was a student of Dan Inosanto, (friend and training partner to the legendary Bruce Lee, and the man left in charge of promoting JKD when Lee died). After many years of studying, Dan Inosanto realized that Paul had a special calling to the street side of the arts and it was his encouragement that led Paul to create PFS. He later became famous in the Special Forces world after spending several years as the hand to hand instructor for the legendary Navy SEAL team six. Paul was elected into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and was recently voted one of the top ten most feared street fighters in the world by black belt magazine.
