Tactical Defense Academy is a Modern Combatives and Mixed Martial Arts Training Center. We pride ourselves in offering a little bit for everyone. If you are an MMA enthusiast who wants to learn more about fighting as a sport check out our MMA class as well as our Boxing, Kickboxing to give you a well rounded view of the striking it takes to be successful in the competition world. The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is also a must for anyone who wants to compete in a Mixed Martial Arts or Grappling event. If you are more concerned with self defense, street fighting, or Reality Based Martial Arts, check out our Progressive Fighting Systems program or our Gracie Combatives program these two are some of the most sought after programs in the world. If you just want to get into shape any of our programs will give you a fun new way to reach your fitness goals. If you are older and out of shape we can work with you slowly and put you in the right programs to ensure that you can train safely without injuring or overdoing yourself. For the ladies we have some of the most effective and realistic women’s self defense courses that have ever been put together. If you are in Law Enforcement Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Progressive Fighting Systems are taught to more Law Enforcement Agencies and Military Branches than any other arts available. And finally for the parents we offer an amazing kids program called bully proof that not only teaches your children martial arts techniques but focuses heavily on life skills that will affect them in their everyday lives.
1.We are an official Progressive Fighting Systems training center and are licensed under PFS founder Paul Vunak to teach the same programs he created for the U.S. Navy SEAL’s. The same programs that were later used by almost every branch of the military, 13 government agencies and over 50 police departments across the US.
2.We are a Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center capable of giving Gracie Rank. Meaning if you train with us and you receive a belt it comes straight from the Gracie Academy Headquarters in Torrance California. The belts are official Gracie belts and they come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Rorion Gracie.
3.We are 1 of only 2 schools in the state of Texas authorized to teach the Gracie Combatives Program.
4.We are 1 of only 50 Executive PFS training centers in the world!
5.We believe that martial arts are a life long endeavor and that mentality keeps us on our toes. We keep in close contact with our organizations and all of our instructors continue to improve their knowledge and skills so that we never stop improving and evolving.
